Bank of the Philippine Islands, the third-largest lender in terms of assets, announced on Wednesday the launch of VYBE—a one-stop lifestyle app that can be used for digital banking transactions.
VYBE, available to customers with BPI Online credentials, has an e-wallet that allows clients to scan and pay via the QR code of any shop with a QR PH standee for secure and cashless payment transaction codes. Clients can also send and request money from other VYBE app users for free.
Clients may also move money to and from their BPI accounts for free. Clients can earn reward points for using BPI’s products and services, and these may be viewed and redeemed via the VYBE app.
“We want to give our clients a faster and more secure way to pay. As a welcome gift, they instantly earn 1,000 points in their VYBE app upon sign up,” BPI vice president and head of digital partnerships and ecosystems Frederick Faustino said in an online briefing. Points earned can be redeemed from an array of brands.
The VYBE app is now available in Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Once downloaded, a client can simply open the app, click “Join the VYBE,” and then use his or her BPI Online credentials and sign up.
The client can then login and start using VYBE. Soon, even non-BPI clients will be able to sign up for VYBE.
