With issues concerning ventilation indoors, the open spaces have become the prime spot for leisure and dining. In fact, the dining scene in many cities across the globe now focuses outdoors—moving their chairs and tables out in the open spaces where the air is fresher and circulates better.

What’s in? Al fresco dining
Al fresco dining setups at (clockwise) Lucky Chinatown in Binondo, McKinley Hill in Taguig, Uptown Parade at Uptown Bonifacio in Taguig, and Southwoods Mall in Laguna.

As dining al fresco is deemed safer by experts, Megaworld Lifestyle Malls’ establishments offer more outdoor seating where guests can enjoy good food with family and friends, surrounded by greenery, charming lights, and other decorative elements.

Uptown Mall at Uptown Bonifacio has opened more areas for al fresco dining at The Deck located on the fourth level. Just across the street along 9th Avenue is Uptown Parade with its rows of mouthwatering cuisines.

Forbes Town, meanwhile, offers a safe enclave for diners as Burgos Park and Forbes Town Road have been converted into outdoor dining spaces to provide more seating to guests.

In keeping with its romantic ambiance, Venice Grand Canal has Italian-inspired spaces for a unique al fresco dining experience. On the other hand, those looking to go on an Asian-style food trip while staying safe can visit AsiaTown in McKinley West, which now has more outdoor seating capacity.

The city of great eats, Eastwood City, has also dedicated more spaces outside its restaurants and converted its open spaces to accommodate more al fresco diners.

With intricate facades and colorful hanging lanterns, diners at Lucky Chinatown in Binondo, Manila can easily soak in the unique Chinatown vibe while enjoying delectable dishes and other favorites from nearby restaurants and food stalls.

With its roster of restaurants offering a multitude of flavors, Newport City provides outdoor diners with quite a selection.

The famed greeneries of Southwoods Mall provide a cool and refreshing vibe as its event area is now home to picturesque dining spaces.

All the senses of al fresco diners are treated at Twin Lakes in Tagaytay as it offers breathtaking views, exquisite food, and fresh, cool breeze.
