Discovery Primea’s in-house restaurant, Gilarmi Lounge, is well-known for its Gin Library and Burger Library, which showcase an extensive collection of gin labels and a selection of simple yet delectable burgers, respectively. It was named after an iconic landmark and famed residential address along Apartment Ridge, which once stood before the five-star hotel opened its doors to the public.
Located on the ground floor of Discovery Primea, hotel guests and visitors can enjoy the lounge’s curated menu while having a view of the bustling Ayala Avenue. Aside from its inviting ambiance, another reason why people keep coming to Gilarmi is the wide range of dishes it offers.
The Burger Library: New selection of burgers
Launched in 2020, Gilarmi’s Burger Library has been serving best-selling varieties such as Good Ol’ Cheeseburger, The Spanish Quarter, Korean Chicken Burger, and Le Bistro. Just last month, Discovery Primea’s Executive Chef Luis Chikiamco and his culinary team treated diners to newly-added burger selections such as Le Bistro 2.0, The Italian Job, and The Mushroom.
Burger Library’s Le Bistro 2.0 is a cheesier, tastier version of its predecessor, featuring stronger flavors and ingredients such as mozzarella, parmesan, emmental cheese, and caramelized onion. Meanwhile, The Italian Job, inspired by blockbusters, aims to be an equally thrilling treat on its own, with its Italian-inspired combination of beef and prosciutto patty, mozzarella, and tomato fondue. For mushroom lovers, The Mushroom showcases crispy mushroom “katsu”, cabbage slaw, and “Bull-Dog” sauce.
Each burger is served with a side of freshly cooked homemade chips and promises an easy, no-frills, and enjoyable dining experience. Priced from P295 to P495, the Burger Library is offered à la carte at Gilarmi Lounge for dine-in and takeout.
The Gin Library: Barrel-aged Negroni
But wait, a visit to Gilarmi Lounge wouldn’t be complete without having a gin treat. Known for being a destination for all things related to gin, from classic G&Ts to elaborate cocktails, this summer, Discovery Primea’s seasoned mixologists embark on a new journey by introducing the hotel’s very own barrel-aged Negroni, ideally crafted for gin lovers and modern-day drinkers.
Mellowed to perfection after 30 days, the house-aged Negroni carries the bittersweet notes of the classic cocktail, blended with the smooth and distinctive smoky flavors of American oak. Experience this concoction in an elevated fashion at Gilarmi Lounge for P400 nett per glass.
Sebastian’s Ice Cream: Unique and local flavors of sorbet
What’s a better way to cap off your meal than having desserts? You can never deny that despite the heavy meal, there is and will always be room for desserts.
Well, there are more reasons to visit Gilarmi as Discovery Primea has collaborated with Sebastian’s Ice Cream to serve local yet unique flavors of ice cream for everyone to enjoy. The dessert menu includes Arroz con Tsokolate, Halo-Halo, and Taaaahho, all of which are inspired by traditional Filipino desserts but given an exciting twist.
Other decadent options are Tea & Cakes, SSSS’Mores, Fire & Ice, and Mango Mango Mango, available starting April 25. Guests are invited to Gilarmi Lounge for a taste of uniquely Filipino flavors translated into elegant desserts, perfect for this season of sunny days.
