PNP takes temporary custody of Matobato

Self-confessed hitman Edgar Matobato is undergoing the booking process at the PNP Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) in Camp Crame, Quezon City.

This comes, after Senator Antonio Trillanes gave PNP the temporary custody of Matobato.

Police took the fingerprints and mug shots of Matobato.

Matobato is taking these steps after a Davao court issued a warrant of arrest against him due to his failure to attend his arraignment last Tuesday for a case of illegal possession of firearms.

The charge was filed against Matobato 2 years ago.

Trillanes intends to resume custody of Matobato as soon as he has posted bail.

The senator hopes, the Senate Committee on Justice will allow Matobato to testify once more.

Matobato claims, President Rodrido Duterte had engaged in extrajudicial killings when he was still mayor of Davao City.
