A DRUG suspect was killed in buy-bust operation in Quezon City Friday morning.
Sr. Supt. Guillermo Lorenzo Eleazar, Quezon City Police District acting director, said a poseur-buyer from the district’s Station 10 in Barangay Kamuning was shot and wounded while grappling for the suspect’s firearm during an operation in Barangay Pinyahan.
Supt. Pedro Sanchez, Station 10 commander, said their anti-illegal drug operatives conducted a buy-bust operation along NIA Road at about 1:30 a.m. after receiving information from those who surrendered about the suspect’s illicit drug activity.
The poseur-buyer arranged to buy shabu from the suspect, identified only as Gary, but the suspect apparently sensed that he was dealing with a policeman and drew his gun.
