Thinking of a quick plan to celebrate the Year of the Water Rabbit this weekend with your family? New World Makati Hotel is offering a curated set of exciting offers just for you and your family to enjoy the Spring Festival.

Indulging in Chinese rich cuisine

What is a New Year celebration without having an authentic Chinese cuisine feast? Tuck into New World’s Chinese in-house restaurant, Jasmine, with its two set menus highlighting dishes that signify prosperity, longevity, and happiness for the coming year.

With its rich, traditional spread, Jasmine is proud to offer its premium Chinese menus this year featuring the Salmon Yu Sheng salad, also known as the Prosperity Salad, followed by braised abalone mushroom in crab meat broth, wok-fried prawns in black pepper sauce, Steamed fish fillet in superior sauce, braised Chinese black mushroom with sea moss and kailan, and steamed rice with preserved sausage in lotus leaf. The meal ends on a sweet note with hot cream red bean soup and lotus seeds, and glutinous rice dumpling with milk chocolate and includes one box of nian gao for set menu 1.

Meanwhile, set menu 2 also has the prosperity salad and features braised assorted seafood in a fish maw broth, pan-fried tiger prawn in spicy bean sauce, steamed live garoupa in superior soy sauce, braised dried oyster with sea moss in premium oyster sauce, stir-fried misua in ‘Fujian’ style, followed by two desserts—the double boiled white fungus with lotus seeds and steamed piggy buns with milky egg cream. This menu will also include one box of nian gao.

Of course, Jasmine won’t let you down as it also offers their ‘All You Can Eat Dim Sum.’ The buffet features all-time favorites like crispy pork belly, har gao shrimp with bamboo shoot dumpling, xiao long bao Shanghainese pork dumplings, siu mai pork, crabmeat dumpling, seafood taro puff, barbecued pork pastry puff, and many more.

Set Menu 1 is offered at P10,888 nett per table of four guests, while Set Menu 2 is offered at P13,888 nett per table of four guests. All-You-Can-Eat Dim Sum is priced at P1,688 nett per person.

Gifting for good fortune

Complete your Chinese New Year festivity with gifts that give good fortune like sticky treats that symbolize both a healthy bond with your family and the hope of luck sticking to you in the year ahead.

Delight those that you hold dearly with Jasmine’s best-selling handcrafted nian gao (tikoy), which comes in the koi fish and classic round shapes priced at P1,188 and P1,088 nett, respectively. Bulk orders get a 20% discount with a minimum of 50 boxes and Club Epicure members receive a 10% discount.

Sweet treats for the people that matter

End the Lunar Year celebration with some sweet treats from New World Makati Hotel’s The Shop which offers Mandarin Cake. The decadent dessert consists of vanilla cremeux white chocolate mousse cake filled with orange jelly mandarin disk and orange segments, finished in red shiny glaze–perfect to share with friends and the whole family. The Mandarin Orange Chocolate Cake is at P1,388 nett. A 48-hour lead time for orders is needed.

Express gratitude and well wishes to loved ones, friends, and associates with one of three thoughtfully-curated Chinese New Year hampers, such as the Premium Chinese New Year hamper, which includes items that can be used for Chinese New Year celebrations and more such as dried scallops, dried black mushrooms, Chinese sausage, Jasmine’s XO chili sauce, Sweetened cashew nuts, salted espresso cookies, fortune cookies, and a bottle of wine—priced at P9,888 nett. Hampers with the Mandarin Cake or nian gao come with fortune cookies and wine, and go for P4,288 and P3,888 nett, respectively.
