GMA Network is ushering its anniversary month on a high note as it launches At Home with GMA Regional TV — the first and only unified morning program in Mindanao airing weekdays at 8:00 am beginning today via GMA Regional TV’s (GMA RTV) local channels in Mindanao.

GMA Network launches ‘At Home with GMA Regional TV’
Atty. Resci Rizada joins Rgil Relator and Cyril Chaves in  'At Home with GMA Regional TV' as segment host.

Giving viewers the right information and the daily inspiration they need are At Home with GMA Regional TV hosts Rgil Relator and Cyril Chaves. Together, they give Kapuso viewers in North, Central, and Southern Mindanao more reasons to celebrate the diversity and power of the voices of every Mindanaoan.

Relator, a young and dynamic Mindanaoan journalist, is part of GMA RTV’s roster of formidable correspondents. He brings with him four years’ worth of experience as part of the top-rating and award-winning unified newscast GMA Regional TV One Mindanao as he represents Southern Mindanao in At Home with Regional TV.

Chaves, on the other hand, is one of GMA Regional TV One Mindanao’s trusted correspondents based in Cagayan de Oro and represents GMA RTV’s new breed of Mindanaoan journalists. A former radio anchor and reporter, he honed himself to become a reliable segment producer. Cyril is excited to jump-start the day as he represents Northern Mindanao.

Some of the segments that viewers must watch out for include “Spotlight” and “Nasayod Ka Ba?”. In “Spotlight,” Relator and Chavez chat with local personalities and newsmakers to tackle some of the hottest topics that are close to every Minadanaoan. Meanwhile, viewers are sure to learn more about Mindanao’s culture and history with “Nasayod Ka Ba?”. Directly translates to “Did You Know?”, “Nasayod Ka Ba?” features fascinating trivia about the country’s second-largest island group.

The latest Kapuso morning TV show makes use of video conference applications in conducting its interviews while the rest of the country is still in community quarantine and as part of the observance of social distancing being implemented nationwide.

Joining Relator and Chavez as segment host is Atty. Resci Rizada. A young Mindanaoan lawyer, Atty. Rizada is a former Mutya ng Davao and a regular host of GMA RTV events and activities. Every morning, Atty. Rizada dishes out meaty conversations with the day's special guest in "Biz Talk." The segment showcases various celebrities and personalities as they talk about their latest projects, advocacies, and their take on current events.

At Home with GMA Regional TV is the second morning show to be unveiled by GMA RTV this year following the successful launch of GMA Regional TV Live! last April, which caters to viewers in Central and Eastern Visayas. It is powered by the same teams behind GMA Regional TV BalitangBisdak and GMA Regional TV One Mindanao.

Over the years, GMA RTV has remained true to its commitment to bring local news and information that matter to Filipino viewers nationwide. Its local newscasts continue to be available on air even during the months when some areas in the Philippines were under ECQ. Last May 18, more viewers gained access to these local programs with the launch of GMA Regional TV Strip that airs weeknights on GMA News TV at 9:45 p.m..

“We take pride in making this pioneering and unified morning show available to our loyal viewers starting on a month that is very close to our hearts—the anniversary month of GMA Network,” shares GMA Regional TV Vice President and Head Oliver Amoroso. “As the Kapuso Network celebrates its 70th year, we at GMA Regional TV are more than inspired to do our best to bring you—our true bosses—programs that highlight our being BuongPuso Para Sa Pilipino. At Home with GMA Regional TV is another testimony of how much we value you, our loyal viewers in Mindanao. We hope you wake up with us every day and be ‘at home’ with this latest Kapuso offering.”

Watch At Home with GMA Regional TV weekdays at 8:00 am via GMA Network’s regional channels: GMA TV 5 Davao; GMA TV 35 Cagayan de Oro; GMA TV 8 General Santos City; GMA TV 12 Jolo, Sulu; GMA TV 9 Zamboanga City; GMA TV 12 Cotabato City; GMA TV 2 Tandag City; GMA TV 10 Surigao City; GMA TV 26 Butuan City; GMA TV 4 Dipolog City; GMA TV 3 Pagadian City; GMA TV 5 Ozamiz City; GMA TV 11 Iligan City; and GMA TV 12 Bukidnon.
