KJ McDaniels and four others led the NLEX Road Warriors as they swamped the Blackwater Elite Bossings, 117-97, Friday in the Philippine Basketball Association Governors’ Cup at the SMART Araneta Coliseum.

The 6’5” McDaniels tallied 24 points to go with 11 rebounds for the Road Warriors who ended a three-game losing skid.
The Bossings, who fell behind in the opening minutes of the first quarter, stayed winless after seven games.
“After three straight losses, gusto namin ma-break iyung losing skid. After a good start of four winning games, we felt that if we lose again, this will be a big hole,” said Road Warriors’ coach Yeng Guiao.
McDaniels delivered nine points in the second period, helping lift the Road Warriors by 17 points, 58-41, at halftime.
Jericho Cruz provided 22 points, scoring 11 in the first period for the Warriors, who took charge immediately with a 34-14 spread.
Kris Rosales added 18 points, making 11 in the third period as NLEX stayed in control, 92-76.
Kevin Alas knocked in 15 points in the fourth and combined for 17 points with Cruz as NLEX nursed a 20-point edge until the end.
