Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) General Manager Melquiades A. Robles graced the Grand All-In-One Medical Mission led by the 9th Regional Community Defense Group Reserve Command of the Philippine Army at the Labuan National High School in Zamboanga City last February 13, 2023.
The people present at the event were very grateful for the medicines provided by GM Robles for the medical mission. Truly, the beneficiaries felt that PCSO is faithful to its slogan, “PCSO, Hindi Umuurong sa Pagtulong.”
As the keynote speaker, GM Robles empathized with the residents affected by Typhoon Paeng, saying, “Batid po ng PCSO ang inyong dinanas noong nanalasa sa inyong lugar ang Bagyong Paeng. Nalugmok man po tayo ng sakuna, kaisa po ninyo ang PCSO sa pagbangon dahil ang PCSO ay hindi umuurong sa pagtulong.”
Later that day, GM Robles personally visited Hon. John Dalipe, Mayor of Zamboanga City, to deliver a check worth Php4,131,850.39 representing the city’s lotto and STL shares.
“Lubos pong nagagalak ang lungsod ng Zamboanga sa pagbisita ng ating mahal na GM Robles upang magpaabot ng pagsuporta sa programa ng ating lokal na pamahalaan. Marami po sa aming mga kababayan ang mababahaginan ng tulong na ibinigay ng PCSO. Maraming, maraming salamat po.” said Mayor Dalipe.
The city government of Zamboanga intends to use the PCSO assistance to expand or supplement their current medical and social programs.
