Honda Hints: What it takes to be successful in your 30s

Success is something most human beings strive for in their lifetime. But what it means to be successful is something that’s ever-changing. For children, success may mean being the best at video games. For teens, that may mean studying in a prestigious university with a certainty of graduating with flying colors. It might mean having a stable job with opportunities to grow for a 20-year-old.

But for a 30-year-old individual with a family and plenty of expectations and responsibilities, how can one achieve success? While it is a very subjective topic, there exists an unspoken profile of a successful 30-year-old. So how can you fit this portfolio to look and feel successful in your 30s? Here are some tips:

Have multiple sources of income

It’s true that money and material possessions can’t buy happiness, but there are constant bills and expenses to pay for. And nowadays, a single source of income isn’t enough to sustain all the wants and needs of your family while securing a bountiful retirement. There are plenty of side hustles out there, some of which you can do online—very apt given the global situation.

Can’t explore side hustles because of a demanding work schedule? Try exploring passive income streams like investments where you rarely have to lift a finger. Expand your investment portfolio by investing in stocks, bonds, or high-yield savings accounts and you’ll feel secure and somewhat successful knowing that you have some money that will reap benefits in the future.

Own a well-established, but constantly polished skillset

By the time you’re 30, you should at least have an idea of what you’re good at and what you’re not so good at. Fully embrace these skills of yours and constantly sharpen them to be a prominent leader in your respective field.

Maintain a healthy work-life balance

While it’s good that you’re working hard to satisfy yours and your family’s wants and needs, it’s always good to remember that we won’t live forever. Alongside having good streams of income, make sure to enjoy the best that life has to offer as well.

Own an elegant yet practical vehicle

Some may disagree, but let’s face it: It’s difficult to go around the metro safely without a personal vehicle. But that doesn’t mean you have to purchase an extremely expensive car, nor one that simply gets you from point A to point B.

Strike a balance of elegance and practicality by purchasing vehicles like the Honda Civic Type R, a perfect family hatchback that looks and feels like a premium sports car. While it doesn’t look the part because of its titillating design and power, the Civic type R is actually spacious, comfortable, and equipped with the latest safety features that make it an ideal vehicle for the family. Not to mention, it also speaks volumes when you come in a very nice and presentable car, isn’t it? What’s more, if you can invest in one right now, do so knowing that it will only add more value to you and the image that you’re trying to build for yourself.

Master sincerity, confidence, and self-contentment

Another way to look and feel successful in your 30s is to be truly sincere to people, confident in what you can do, and contented with what you have. Mastering these attributes will definitely secure your reputation positively, add further to your credibility, thereby allowing you to work and enjoy life more seamlessly.

Take advantage of deals and promos

Even millionaires, who are pinnacles of success, don’t spend just because they can afford it. Make sure to take advantage of the various deals and promos that makes every centavo of your hard-earned money, all the more worth it. Buying clothes? Purchase those that are at a discounted rate. Getting a brand-new car? Check out sweet deals and you’ll definitely look and feel like a wise and successful 30-year-old in no time.
